Americas Cup..

So Folks, whats up with Americas Cup?I see that Prada have pulled out now and say it is definitely not due to funding issues.Louis Vuitton has pulled out of sponsorship.Who is next? Is this a spat between European companies.or is it something deeper? Didn't take Bertorelli long to upset the whole shooting box did it?

Or tackle Everest in snow
But the bravest of all drives a '34 Ford
And will try for six thousand in low.

RE: Americas Cup..

Team New Zealand's tactician Terry Hutchinson resigned yesterday after being unable to get the terms and conditions he wanted to continue for another America's Cup campaign.

Hutchinson, 39, had been part of the team afterguard since 2004.

"It was a good run and a hard-fought regatta. I loved the racing and I believe we achieved a great deal," he said of this year's campaign.

"While disappointed that I could not come to a satisfactory arrangement with the management of Emirates Team New Zealand, the success of the campaign has created an amazing number of opportunities that I am now free to explore."

The American had been part of three America's Cup campaigns. In 2000 he sailed with Paul Cayard on the AmericaOne. In 2003 he was tactician aboard Stars & Strips with Dennis Conner.

Article above - is that the tactician that many believe cost us the cup? If so, good bloody riddance!

RE: Americas Cup..

so are you telling me f1 is more exciting. wonder if they have thought of a safety boat intervention to turn it into a couple of races. that young evans fellow would have some thoughts on that after manefield. funny how you cant close a gap and then when you're past you pull away
